APEC Cross-Fora Forum hosted by T-REC

Leading the Asia-Pacific region to reach the best consensus on a RECs system

From March 7th to 9th, the "Utilizing Renewable Energy Certification to Facilitate APEC Regional Renewable Energy Growth" forum will be hosted by the Taiwan National Renewable Energy Certification Center (T-REC) of the Bureau of Standards and Inspection of the Ministry of Economic Affairs, covering issues on utilizing Renewable Energy Certification to facilitate APEC regional renewable energy growth. Members and partners are invited to discuss and reach the best consensus for a Renewable Energy Certificate (RECs) system.

 This is the first in-depth discussion of renewable energy certificates by APEC, and also the first cross-fora project in the two areas of "energy" and "standards." We have international experts from NZECS New Zealand, T-REC, SEDA Malaysia, M-RETS, Energy To Market (E2M) Mexico, CER Australia, Managing Director of L’OREAL Taiwan, Mitsubishi Electric, and CRS. Together the workshop aims to building a platform for the recognition of renewable energy certificates and market mechanism in the Asia-Pacific region.

 We also organized panel discussions and invited 6 representative of Taiwanese enterprises to share their experiences in sustainable management and renewable energy. Our speakers include the Chairman & CEO of AUO, Chief Sustainability Officer of Delta Electronics, the Leader of Sustainability and Climate Change Services at PwC Taiwan, Green Operation WG Leader of Cathay FHC Corporate Sustainability Committee, Vice President & Chief Operation Officer of TAIPEI 101 Tower, and Chairman of TCI CO., LTD.
