Our Missions and Visions
Taiwan Government has targeted to achieve 20% of the total generation from renewable energy by 2025, and, in January 2017, started the direct supply, wheeling mechanism, retailer system and free trade market of renewable energy with the Amendment of The Electricity Act.
National Renewable Energy Certification Center (T-RECC), established by the Bureau of Standard, Metrology and Inspection (BSMI) under the resolution of Office of Energy and Carbon Reduction, Executive Yuan, on August 4th, 2016, has missions of promoting Renewable Energy Certificate (REC) system and establishing REC mechanism, regulations, verification standards and tracking system.
Renewable energy such as wind, solar, geothermal, biomass and hydro power, has less impact on our environment during the production process. REC, hence, can serve as a proof of enterprises using renewable energy and fulfilling CSR (corporate social responsibilities).
With the increasing demand of renewable energy from global and local enterprises, T-RECC is to help enterprises obtain RECs and promote the REC market development in Taiwan.
